Ratece is a place in Slovenia that lies on the border triangle with Italy and Austria in the Sava Valley. Ratece is known for long and cold winters, but also for a large number of sunny days when you can walk across the mountain meadows at the foot of the Karawanken. The first association with Rateče is Planica-Alps jewel. Planica Nordic Center is famous for its ski jumping and ski flying hills and is therefore also called the “Valley of Ski Jumps”. If you are looking for adventure, Planica Zipline is the right thing for you (the steepest zipline in the world). Hello, we are Miro and Vanja – your hosts. Nature lovers who have spent too much time within the walls of the big city and so realized that we shouldn’t take nature, peace and quiet for granted. We asked ourselves, are we doing the right thing? This question led us to the beautiful Julian Alps and the fairytale village of Ratece. We’re both very communicative and have been working with people all our lives, so the only logical solution was to embark on an adventure called Apartments 55.
